Shaurya Cement Industry has come into operation with an investment of Rs 15 billion. It is established with the joint investment of three big business houses of the country- Shankar Group, Ambe Group and C.K Golchha Family. The industry has started a trial production of cement from Mirchaiya, Siraha.
The clinker production has already started from the third week of Magh, 2077 BS. The production capacity of the industry is 3,000 metric tons per day. The industry will produce OPC, PPC and PSC cement. Shaurya Cement will produce low-alkali cement. This cement will be used in the construction of large hydropower, irrigation canals and drinking water dams.
The industry is equipped with integrated technology plant from limestone mine to cement production. The limestone mine required for the solar cement industry is at Katari, Udaypur. The mine has limestone that lasts for about 50 years.
Shaurya Cement is one of the largest industry in Eastern Nepal. About 25 MW of electricity is required to run the industry, out of which 6 MW will be generated internally.
